The FIND-STEM project recently reached another milestone with the successful completion of the teacher training course in Estarreja, Portugal. Hosted at Escola Secundária de Estarreja, the program engaged 21 experienced educators from the Agrupamento de Escolas de Estarreja in a comprehensive professional development journey. A Comprehensive Approach to STEAM Delivered across two sessions in November 2025, the eight-hour training provided a deep dive into innovative pedagogical strategies. The curriculum was structured into six specialized modules designed to modernize classroom practices: Voices from the Training: What Teachers Valued The qualitative feedback from the participants highlighted the practical and collaborative nature of the FIND-STEM approach:

The 1st Primary School of Rafina recently completed a successful implementation of the FIND-STEM teacher training course in Greece, aimed at fostering innovation and nurturing diversity in STEM education. This intensive eight-hour workshop brought together educators to strengthen their competencies in delivering creative, inclusive, and gender-aware STEAM learning experiences. Bridging the Gap in STEM Education The program addressed several critical challenges identified by participants, such as the lack of materials for experiential learning and difficulties in integrating technology. Over the course of two days (November 5-6, 2025), teachers engaged in a series of interactive modules: Voices from the Training: Impact and Results The feedback from the participating educators was overwhelmingly positive, with the training meeting or exceeding all expectations. Quantitative data revealed a substantial increase in teacher self-confidence across all areas, most notably in reflective practice and gender equality and inclusion. Testimonials

We are excited to share the October 2025 edition of our project newsletter. This issue highlights our ongoing efforts to improve curriculum development and enhance teacher training resources for integrating arts into STEM education. Key Updates in This Issue: The official project website is now live, providing a central hub to discover resources, track our activities, and learn more about our goals. Between October and November, 45 teaching professionals from three partner institutions will complete the entire Continuing Professional Development curriculum through a two day Train the Teacher Course. The project continues to address the need for stronger institutional partnerships to exchange good practices and experiences.

In this second edition of the FIND-STEM newsletter, we take you behind the scenes of one of the project’s most impactful deliverables: the creation of a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Curriculum for STEM educators. Over the past months, our project partners have worked intensively on designing a six-module curriculum focused on: creative and inclusive teaching digital literacy hands-on learning gender equality in STEM effective assessment student-centered methodologies The CPD will soon be available in English, Greek, Romanian, and Portuguese — as an open-access digital brochure, ready to support teachers in transforming science education.
