Aim
Enhance and excel STEM and STEAM education across Romania, Greece, and Portugal by equipping teachers with innovative learning and teaching methodologies that are inclusive, diverse, and oriented towards gender-equality, real-world applications and creativity
Objectives
O1. Enhance teachers from 3 EU countries’ competences in delivering future-oriented, gender inclusive and pupil-centred STEM education through training and professional development opportunities in innovative teaching methods
O2. Innovate teaching methodologies through transnational experience transfer to local contexts to address the pupils’ lack of excellence and interest in STEM, with special focus on girls
O3. Increase pupils’ engagement and excellence in STEM subjects through creative, arts-based and real-world approaches with a focus on gender inclusion and equal participation by developing, implementing and validating educational intervention
O4. Stimulate and excel pupils from 3 EU countries’ interest in STEM education, with focus on gender equality, through applied and practical centred career guidance approaches for preparing young generations for the future and aligning their view and interest with technological development trends
O5. Enhance soft skills development for pupils from 3 EU countries’ and combat gender soft skills level disparities through stimulating the interest and appealing for STEM disciplines through creative, arts-based and real-world approaches
Outcomes
R1. Organizations equipped with methodologies and resources that enable them to respond to STEM educational challenges and implications in the STEM discipline through arts and creative activities.
R2. Teachers equipped with emerging competencies, skills and attitudes and with teaching methods and approaches adapted to increase students’ interest and performance in the STEM discipline.
R3. Students with a higher level of interest in the STEM discipline by using their creativity and the creation of critical thinking and problem-solving skills through activities and situations focused on real life.
R4. Students with increased awareness and developed skills in the STEM discipline connected to real life situations and strongly oriented towards STEM career development paths.
R5. Students with an equal level of development of non-technical skills from a gender perspective, through equal access and stimulation of interest in STEM.
